I was more than a bit skeptical but after reading numerous reviews I decided to pull the trigger. I put in a new cold air intake, exhaust headers and a cat back exhaust system. When I took the truck for a cruise (2007 Tacoma, 2.7 liter 4 cylinder) what a surprise. Glad I made the purchase.

I received the pedal commander and installed it in my 2019 Toyota Tacoma in 2 minutes, very easy plug and play just like it says. It works better then I expected. Instant throttle response I have been looking for. I started with each setting on 1 and worked through the settings till I found exactly what worked for my driving experience for what I was using my truck for at the time. I noticed the gas mileage was not as good, but the performance made up for it. I then took a long road trip and set the pedal commander on economy and I could not believe it!! The gas mileage was outstanding, better then what the truck had gotten without the pedal commander. I highly recommend this pedal commander to anyone looking for a better driving experience no matter what vehicle, if the pedal commander will work in it, you definitely need to purchase it. Thank you for an awesome product and honest information and reviews on it.

I wasn’t sure if I should flash mod or get a pedal commander type mod. I looked into a bunch of options. I chose Pedal Commander for the ease of changing how it can be set changed day to day or even mid trip. It’s on a daily driver and it changed everything. Completely different truck … very happy

Received was a little hesitant to install, watched a dozen videos on how to install and got the guts up to install it took longer for the truck go to sleep than it took to install and I added a new left side switch panel that accepts the pedal commander.looks oem and works great completely eliminated the pedal lag.

Issues with the App connecting to my Tacoma. Works fine with my other two vehicles so maybe something to do with Toyota. A little frustrating as I cant find a resolution and the troubleshooting steps did not help.

I got the Pedal Commander for my '23 Toyota Tacoma. I love it! It is super powerful and fast. It really does make my truck a race truck! Deletes hesitation and gear searching on my automatic transmission. It is really smooth and powerful. I love the Pedal Commander.

I have not had much drive time with the Commander. The pedal seems to react quickly but the transmission seems to overly active. I think I will enjoy the Pedal Commander in time.
I know one thing, I will always remember to turn off the ECU. I thought the power was completely off but it must not been off. After pushing the start button the response was startling. “Engine problems””call the Service department now”. Did I ruin my expensive Tacoma? After two seperate starts the computer cleared itself-PHEW. After leaving the driver’s door open for a little over thirty minutes the power must have off. When I started the truck was perfect!

I’m gonna add that the pedal commander for Tacoma is the third addition too a complete expansion. Cold air intake, and exhaust should also be considered. After that, the pedal commander will have a better chance of success.
For me, it’s no question, it delivers more power, which in turn makes driving more fun. I haven’t seen a significant change in gas mileage. But I have 33 inch tires and a 3inch lift.

Took a trip from NC to FL right after installing. It made a huge difference in my gas mileage. The Sport setting is awesome. The throttle response was instantaneous. It seemed to add some take-off horsepower. I'm impressed. I highly recommend it.

The throttle response is instant in comparison. The speed one seems to be the best for our driving application. The mpg actually have gone up about .5 mpg. It’s on a lifted 2024 Tacoma with 35s. Highly recommend. Zero issues knock on wood.

It takes time to find the right setting, but this will definitely make your drive smooth when you cruise and take off when you want. I set mine for city plus 3 when I’m driving in stop and go traffic, and Sport plus 1 on the freeway. The sport setting really helps my highway commute, since it’s an uphill drive for about 30 miles. It really seems like I get better gas mileage, with the added power going uphill. Session product!!

It really brought my Toyota to life, the best part of it I can choose how much life I want to give it. It doesn't seem to give it any more power than what the poor thing already has but it does pick up speed a lot more faster now. I would purchase it again for another vehicle. Very easy to hook up, even a caveman could do it. Plug and Play, don't rip your rear-end or drive shaft out hold on tight keep your hands and feet inside the ride at all times. Have a good day. During heavy traffic using eco mode, really saves on my fuel consumption. When i get to open roads, using sports+ mode impressively increases my get up and go.

I’ve tried other tuners but this one is great! I like the fact it can be controlled by my phone and Bluetooth. I have a 2020 TRD off road v6, 6 speed manual transmission for reference. I tried the city +4 and I have instant throttle response at the gas pedal, I did not have the same response with previous brands. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking to improve their truck’s performance.

Sport and Sport + mean spirited. Drive around city and up hills with City mode +2 and throttle response is awesome, no lag. Even with my 2014 Taco with the 4.0 L V6 engine, there is a stock lag which is annoying. Thank you Pedal Commander!

The pedal commander is a lot of fun in sport modes and even city mode.
In eco mode -2 in my 2023 Tacoma with stock TRD tires on roads with some hills, 33 Mike trip, I reached 28.3 mpg tank average after filling up, but my trip average was only 27.7. The road you travel makes a big difference. Other roads i could only get 23 mpg. With pedal commander off, my best trip average was 23.5 mpg. That's going easy on the gas pedal, no fast starts no passing people traveling up to 60 mph and as slow as 25 mph. Definitely worth buying.

Had installed within a few minutes, very easy! Set as 1st favorite City mode +3, was very surprised how differently it felt when I hit the pedal. Tried economy mode not sure how it would be a benefit for normal driving zapped all power away when moving from a stop. Sport mode doesn't give you the take-off from dead stop but definitely gets you moving when merging onto a highway! Will test different settings/levels in the coming days. Best feature by far is no more pedal lag!

Easy install on my 2021 Tacoma. Took it for a quick test run on city mode and immediately noticed the difference. No more sluggish response accelerating in highways or from a stop sign.
Gas mileage remains close to the same. Maybe a bit better. Probably better in economy mode. I’m glad I finally bought it.

I honestly should’ve returned it. Only good thing is eco mode the other city, sport, and sport plus have pretty significant cons especially the shift points. My truck jumped so hard I had to pull over to make sure I didn’t damage the engine I’ve never had so many problems with adding something like this. Save your money and get your truck tuned professionally. Eco mode works well though saves me about a mile or two per gallon

Installed on 2017 Tacoma DC TRD 4x4 Sport with a camper shell on it. The Pedal Commander made a huge difference in the driving experience. The remapping of the throttle response truly makes this truck how it should be from the factory. I typically keep mine on Sport 0 or +1. I’m running 285/70’s for tires so this makes it feel much more like factory tires on there. I feel like the price is a little high for what it is, but all in all worth it.

Works great. Truck feels souped up. Highly recommend for any vehicle with dead pedal. Sport+2 for me. Simple 3 minute install. The adhesive would not hold on my dash and 3M mounting tape didn't either. The 3M did work but on a smooth surface next to the small cubby hole to the left of the steering wheel. Nothing sticks to the textured dash surfaces in my rig. My truck is now a fun ride!

Pretty easy install other than working in the limited space above the gas pedal in the 4th gen Tacoma. Make sure to follow the instructions as far letting the ECU go to "sleep", but once you start the install it only takes a couple minutes. It took me longer to decide where I wanted it mounted. I ended up drilling a small hole through the access panel just big enough to fit the cable.
The unit definitely allows the truck to accelerate much faster, and with all the different settings, you can find that sweet spot after some test drives, and playing with the different modes.
