WHAT IS THROTTLE LAG?

When you first press down on the accelerator, there is a delay before anything actually happens. Electronic Throttle Control (ETC) systems cause this as they take the signal from the accelerator pedal when you press it and send it to the vehicle’s ECU. All of this process causes a delay called throttle lag. Besides, manufacturers deliberately leave the delay there because it makes the vehicle suitable for various types of drivers.

The basic steps of the Pedal Commander® installation are always the same regardless of the vehicle's make and model:

Turn off the ignition and wait 10-15 minutes with your driver's door open to allow your ECU to shut down.

Disconnect your accelerator pedal assembly plug, then plug in the heads to connectors on the Pedal Commander® harness.

Clean up the area where you want to mount the control unit with the alcohol wipe. Stick the bracket with the supplied velcro.

After you make sure the cables are secure and won't be tangled, you are ready to enjoy Pedal Commander®.

Followed the instructions, except I removed the pedal from the floor with 2 bolts. Made removing the plug ten times easier. Also made sure to hear the plugs snap into place. It also made sure the door was open way more than the recommended 15 minutes. After the engine warmed up, it was off to an eye opening drive. I started off on sport second level. Within a block, I lowered it to city with no green lights. Much easier to pull off with traffic. Can't wait to try sport and sport+ on my next highway trip!!

Still a little bit of a lag off the line, but it is a 4 cyl diesel however, it is still better than without. I can definitely feel the difference out on the highway though, it launches when I want to pass or just to run it up for fun. Will be buying one for more 3500 duramax dually as well. Can't wait to see what it has to offer the big diesel with wide hips.

I had a little trouble unhooking the plug in the pedal but it’s all good got it done so this device will cause you to crash if your not aware of the setting I was daring enough to put it on sport and I was backing up and I hope I ain’t hit the car behind me but by the gods this thing is amazing after I got use to sport that same day of install at night I went to sport+(+2) never will I ever feel normal I can’t drive without it I feel so slow I’m so use to light tapping that when it’s off I’m really driving slow it’s the best little mod out there I can’t even imagine what a bmw would be like with this device ( by the way I gapped a cocky bmw ) it goes to show it does what’s expected don’t do high speed race though if your car can’t handle high speeds it’s mostly good for that 0-60 maybe a little more like a quick 20 -30 roll and zoom zoom but if your car is light in weight plus if you got some good aftermarket mods not no exhaust tune being loud I’m talking mods like (intake , turbos, ecu , valves , good tires , etc.) your golden if you be racing but always wear that seat belt race at a track and follow the law don’t be those guys who don’t and get a head cushion cause bro
